Woo... Was at Clapton's concert yesterday night. It's super awesome, the feeling is even better than watching it one DVD. His skill is just something that I yearn to have. Those fast fingers and the emotions that he put into each and every song. It seems that he always placed himself in the shoes or the mood of the song and the result is one after another pieces of songs that the audience can experience. His charisma on stage is just amazing, although he speaks less than 10 sentences, somehow he channeled all his words into his performance.
Why is he a legend of all time, my personal idol, the standard that I want to be at, the reason why I love Fender Stratocaster and my musical influence is explained and justified in just one night. The concert not only answered all this questions, it also gave me a booster to want to play good music and let people experience the song.
Think the emotion just cannot be written into words, the best way to decide is for the person to be there his/herself. The sound of the strats and the signature playing styles of Clapton. One has to wonder how long does it take for me in order to be at the standard that he is playing now. Great Job Clapton... I take my hats off to you...
