Hm.. A short post for the day. I was listening to Eric Clapton songs again, like duh...... hehe, what to do, I hope to reach his standard someday. In any case, alot of his songs are quite meaningful, stuff like tears in heaven and wonderful tonight are written with heart felt feelings for the two special person in his life, his wife and son. Though its a sad thing that both died. But really, if you had seen his concert, this are the two songs which he sings with the most feeling. As a listener, I can really feel how he is feeling just by listening carefully enough, and I think he has fulfilled a singer's potential, that is to let the listeners feel the song.
In order to do this, he first has to really feel the song. That is why I say songs like that are really wonderful, as compared to the other present day music such as punk rock, screamers and black metal(no offence guys). Do you think they are feeling the song? To me, I think they are just screaming and singing something which they themselves don't understand. Some might say love songs are really sucky which in turn I want to ask, can a punk rocker, screamer put his feeling into a song in which he trys so hard to perfect by screaming his lungs or throat out?? I bet he is too busy screaming to put his heart into the song.
Sometimes, I feel those who refuse to listen to love songs are missing out on a great deal. Say I bad, but well, I think they are lacking love or something, thats why they don't dare to listen to meaningful songs or love songs. No offence, but to you guys out there who do not listen to love songs or similar, try it one day and listen to it with a open heart..
Meanwhile, I'm going back to listen to all the Blues hits by Clapton. So see you guys around...
