Hi guys, I'm back..... Hehe, I just got my inspiration about a topic after listening to the theme song from The Myth(Movie By Jackie Chan). The movie is very amazing, with all the nicely done transitions and the stunts which is Jackie Chan's trademark. I really have to take my hat off to the scriptwriter and the director who is none other than Stanley Tong, job well done. So as I was saying, I was listening to the song from the movie and thinking about the scenes from the movie and sort of got hit by a inspiration. It is regarding human greed and couple's love for one another.
Firstly, lets start with human greed first. I decided to talk about this coz in the movie, one of the character depicted by Tony Leung Ka-Fai and the bad guy in the movie, went to great lengths to search for the lengendary floating tomb built by Qin Shi-Huang, Each with their own pupose(for what is their purpose, watched the movie to find out)
In the end, they did got their wishes however, none managed to come out alive, instead they perished. Why, because none of them were willing to put down their own selfish purpose. This is part of human greed. People are so often into some things for their own personal selfish gains that they forget about friendship and family ties. They would often go to great lengths inculding betraying their friends and making use of them to attain certain goal. In this part, let me use an example, as I'm in the film industry, lets just use this example of let say a person who is working on a film project together with a few friends, sort of make use of the other members in the team to do most of the job, as the person had other things to work with. And when the result comes out, the few who had to slogged their ass off got the same things as the ones who did not participate as much. This is a showcase of greediness as the person wants to gain as much points/benefits in as many aspects as possible, thus making use of the people around to gain what he/she has setted out to achieve, which certainly is not fair.
In the end, the person does get what he/she wants but did the person picked up the skills which the others picked up, such as man management and skilled communication? This example is one in which many can see the greediness of man, which is simailar to the characters depicted in the movie, they did get what they want, but in the end they perished together with their dreams, achieving nothing in this process. '
Thus, personally, I feel that one should not be greedy and be scheming in achieving their own personal goals, if one wants to learn something and be good in something, he/she should do it personally and not make use of the people around. This way, when the matter is completed, one would feel the satisfaction and would strive for better things.
Secondly, let us talk about the love between couples. In the movie, the characters of Jackie Chan and Kim Hee-Seon were so madly in love that Kim Hee-Seon character waited for Jackie's character for afew hundred years. Why is this possible?? hehe, watch the movie lah. But now I'm just wondering of the love of two person is able to withstand such long period of time.
Well, from my personal opinion, yes this is possible if the couple was really made for each other, but if the couple is not meant to be, no matter how long they wait(be it a thousand years or a million), they will never find their happiness. Perhaps one might say that in those days the society was less complicated as compared to now. This is one thing which i do not agree with, because no matter how complicated the world becomes, the couple's love would not change if they were meant to be.
In our world today, the tempo of the world has increased substantially and the people are much more educated, and perhaps what is important to most people are the money that one has in the bank account rather than the true love. Does that mean that all couples nowadays are just talking about money?? This is of course not true, there are many couples who are together because they are seriously in love with one another.
Couples whose love for each other are true, will be able to hold their love for each other for eternity even till the day they die, but for those who are not, then I can only say that you are wasting your time. Will a guy wait for his dream girl and will a girl wait for her dream guy for eternity, that is a hard question to answer for people nowadays, but for people in the past, what they hold was true and simple love which was why they can wait for each other for that long. Of course, you will say that it is in the movies as a person can never live that long. That I have to agree, but have you ever thought that what if... This question can only be answer by couples, for me, that is just one thing which I wanted to bring out for you guys out there to think about.
