Hi guys, I know, its been quite a while since I last blogged, its getting rusty and dusty I know. Well, alot of things happened within this period that I was not blogging. Was my birthday on Wednesday and all my friends sort of celebrated it for me. Well, 18th b'day is not really a huge cause for a celebration, but well, it is still necessary as it proves that I have lived on this earth for 18 donkey years(Thank you Lord!!!) I would also like to thank all my friends for celebrating this joyous occasion of my life. I like all the cakes which you all bought(both schoolmates and Church pple. Thanks.) But well, 3 cakes in a week is hardly funny man, hehe, but well, its the thought that counts. And I'm going to thank afew people personally.
Firstly, I would like to thank my schoolmates, especially Krys, Von, Joanne & Aisya for specially taking time off from their busy schedule to celebrate my birthday on Thurs. Zhong Hui and Steve for their birthday wishes though the two of them can't make it on that day. Not forgetting the rest of the class people.... Hehe, here is the part whereby most would have already notice that the four people who were at the celebration are all.... Ladies.... of course, I know I know some of you are going to say I "Lao Tee Ko" bluff girls... Hey come on guys, these 4 ladies call me Ah Kong can...? Which means that they are granddaughters of mine... Sad right, no one to carry on the family line... Muahahahahaha, just joking lah, I really like to thank them for celebrating my Bday for me.. Thanks again guys.... But then again, do I look like an Ah Kong?? I think Uncle more like it lah... Afterall, Arhem, I am t6he proud uncle of 4 nephews and 1 niece... Hehe, so yah lor, uncle lah hor... Hehe.
Secondly, I would like to thank YLM for their "suprise"(Inverted cause I found out...) celebration at J8 Macs. Thanks for the cake guys, it was wonderful, hehe, the 3(or was it 4??) years I spent in YLM was simply fantastic and wonderful. Learnt quite alot from you guys, be it spiritually or in my personal life, it is just wonderful. Thanks Cheryl for the cards, Julia for the tuner and card(Tuner not cheap ah??.. :P). I picked up my guitar from YLM too, thanks to the Big One... Haha, well, but he is okay lah. And all the other people who sent their wishes...
Thirdly, I would like to thank my family for celebrating my 18th birthday. Thanks Mum & Dad, hehe, without you guys, I don't think I can make it this far, especially Mum for your encouragement, constant nagging, essence of chicken and sleepless nights whenever I do my project. Don't worry, I will do you guys proud when I graduate from FSV. My sis for being my friend in the family. Thanks guys.
Lastly, I would like to thank the man above, Jesus Christ.... For making all my wishes come true and guiding me through this 18 years of my life and watching over me. Carying me in your arms when I was down and using me as your servant. Lord, thanks, continue to guide me in your light and use me as your servant, but at the same time keep me humble and meek, for without you, I won't be around too. Thanks
Okay, now that I have thank almost everyone. Its time to say some words. Haha, well, I guess now being 18 means more responsibility, sense and more thinking
. Well, it also means that I should be more sensible in my thinking. Though I can drink legally, it do not mean that I will drink till my heart's content, instead, I should know when to start and when to stop.. That should be the correct way of doing it.
Wha.... So long ah, I think my 21st birthday will be a speech liao ah... Haha, so I think I will stop liao lah.
Now that I have done all the joyous stuff. I guess its time for some sad stuff. Actually, it is not that sad lah. Its just that I would be leaving YLM to pursue a calling and passion which has bugged me a year back. Which is to join Music Ministry and help bring it back to its glorious days. Not say that it is lousy now lah, but the original members are sort of moving on in their ministries, so I decided I can do something and contribute to MM. It has always been a calling for me to serve within the mass rather than around and outside of it, as it is a closer feeling when I'm in the mass. Since young, I wanted to be a server, but I did not join as I felt something else beckoning, then I joined YLM to plan and learn more about the liturgy. Now, I'm finally moving to within the mass where I will be providing the music for the entire congregation. I won't be not appearing in YLM, but it would be more to conduct praise & worship sessions and help out in camp. But my main priority would be in MM as a musician.
